AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a bizarre collaboration that challenges usual forecasts, Ubisoft has announced an virtual crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Revealed
According to the official release, "An unusual confrontation leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where whispers of forbidden practices and fearsome transformations echo through the obscurity." The narrative features a "unusually attired woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a hidden sect.
The questline focuses on "bizarre trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Iconic Places and Changes
The trailer showcases the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Prizes and Extra Features
Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an special katana in addition to several objects concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:
- Titan-inspired attire for Yasuke
- Mikasa attire for Naoe
- Special weapons
- Survey Corps steed
Third Free Story Content
This patch also introduces the game's newest complimentary story addition, titled "A Puzzlement." This lighthearted quest pairs Naoe and Yasuke as they swap signature techniques: Naoe reveals a theatrical interpretation of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns.
